Creating Chrome Connected Classrooms

My students need 30 computers split into 2 mobile labs as a part of 21st Century Education. We are working to enhance the connectivity between students and the world.

My Students

Students need exposure to online environments in preparation for today's workplace. Computer literacy is an essential skill set for success and providing all students with an opportunity to learn research, production and presentation programs. This situation creates a prepared emerging workforce.

Our middle school is located in an lower socioeconomic neighborhood where families have limited means for technology related purchases.

Many of our students' computer exposure happens at school where resources are limited. Current programs offered at school are limited to the technology available which in turn limits student exposure to technology. We are hoping to minimize the digital divide through the acquisition of computers.

My Project

The purchase of Chromebooks will allow greater student access to develop essential technology related skill sets that are transferable to today's workforce. Activities including research, productivity, robotics, webdesign, digital photography, global sharing, collaboration and sharing increases access to world viewpoints helping to inspire global thinkers and problem solvers. Connectivity to the world beyond their neighborhood is essential to encourage students in their efforts to be educated leaders of tomorrow.

Online access will make a world of difference for our students; building global perspectives and expanding student knowledge beyond the classroom.

Essential collaborative and production skills will be learned, honed, and practiced to perfection. Your support in enriching the lives of our students is greatly appreciated.
